The Washington Police Department responded to a bomb threat at Wal-Mart on Tuesday, but a search of the Wal-Mart building yielded no bomb, according to police spokesman Lt. William Chrismon.

An investigation into the incident continues, Chrismon said Wednesday.

The bomb-threat was called into Wal-Mart, which followed its procedures for such a threat and evacuated its customers and employees, said Chrismon, noting that police officers assisted with the evacuation. Police and Wal-Mart personnel searched the building, but found no bomb, he said.
