Mr. Christopher Cornelius Nelson, Jr. of Alpharetta, Ga., died July 24, 2007. Mr. Nelson served in the Army Air Corps during WWII, and after completing his Military Service Mr. Nelson graduated from North Carolina State and was employed by Lockheed Aircraft Corp., as an Aeronautical Engineer, and retired after 36 years. Mr. Nelson is survived by his Wife; Mrs. Lee B. Nelson, Alpharetta, Ga. Daughter, Connie and John Malik, Elberton, Ga., sons: Arch and Katrina Nelson, Alpharetta, Ga. Kit Nelson, Charleston, SC Sisters; Ms. Sheila Darden, Greenville, SC, Ms. Lela Clift, Washington, NC, four Grandchildren, Taylor and Maggie Malik, Parker and Merrill Nelson, Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Great Nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday July 27, 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Roswell Funeral Home, with Dr. Harvey West officiating. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
