Mr. Dumay B. Tripp, 93, a native of the Core Point community of Beaufort County, died Monday, July 30, 2007, at Hospice House Woodside in Pinellas Park, Fla.
A graveside service will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the Tripp family cemetery, Core Point, with the Rev. Shelia Duke officiating.
Mr. Tripp was born in Core Point on June 1, 1914. He was married to Mildred Anna Tripp of Clearwater, Fla., who survives. He performed multiple trades, including carpentry.
Survivors include three sons, Warren D. Tripp of Louisville, Ky., Barry A. Tripp of Round Rock, Texas, and Randy T. Tripp of Clearwater, Fla.; one brother, John D. Tripp of Charlotte; one sister, Josephine Tripp-Gilliland of Buies Creek; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Warren Chapel Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Tripp Family Corp. Cemetery Fund, c/o Lillian Jordan, 238 Hopewell Road, Edenton, NC 27932.
