As a part of Anti-Bullying Week at Chocowinity Middle School, the PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Support) Team held a poster contest in which students were encouraged to create a poster that would take a stand against bullying. On Jan. 10, winners were announced at an assembly during which Steve Carrier spoke to the student body about self-empowerment. One winner from each grade level was chosen. The winners were Kaitlynn Harris, fifth grade, Jacqueline Wood, sixth grade, Emily Jackson, seventh grade and Crystal Gachuz, eighth grade.
