Mrs. Elda Brown Waters, age 82, died on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington, NC.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Latham Cemetery officiated by Pastor David Young.
Mrs. Waters was born in Beaufort County on August 11, 1930 to the late Chester Stancill Woolard and Lela Belle Perry Woolard. She was married to Lewis Swindell Waters, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Waters was a homemaker and member of the Five Points Free Will Baptist Church.
Mrs. Waters is survived by three children: James Russell Waters of Pantego, NC, Donald Lewis Waters and wife Linda of Pinetown, NC and Jean Lilley and husband Russell of Pinetown, NC, a sister: Burnell Cooper of Elizabeth City, NC, a nephew: Tommy Palmer of Swansboro, NC, two nieces: Kay White and husband Larry of Washington, NC and Teresa Cobb of Washington, NC, eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 8, 2013 from 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of her son, Donald Waters, 75 Long Ridge Road, Pinetown, NC 27865.
