Mr. Jesse James Wainwright, Sr., age 62, a resident of 143 Mimosa Trailer Park, Washington, NC died Thursday morning, August 16, 2007 at Beaufort County Hospital.
Mr. Wainwright was born in Beaufort County on April 4, 1945, son of Fannie Mae Tetterton Wainwright and the late Floyd Earl Wainwright. He was owner/operator of a salvage yard. In addition to his mother, Fannie Mae Tetterton Wainwright of Washington, he is survived by his sons: Jesse James Wainwright, Jr. of Chocowinity and Christopher Jay Wainwright of Washington; his daughters: Celeste Wainwright Clark of Chocowinity and Marsha Jean; his sisters: Fannie Earl Toler and Linda Faye Alligood both of Washington; his brothers: Billy Jack Wainwright of Chocowinity, Floyd Henry Wainwright of Washington and Glenn Edward Wainwright of TN, seven grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, his friends: Rachel Alligood, Tyrone Logan, William Earl Wainwright and Curtis Watters and his faithful companion: Melba Grace Cox. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his sister: Elizabeth Grissom, his brother: Bobby Ray Wainwright and his best friend: Richard Bryant.
