Mrs. Dianne Jones Carroll, age 58, a resident of Washington died Friday March 8, 2013 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 2 pm Monday March 11, 2013 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington officiated by Pastor Jeff Manning.  Entombment will be private at Pinewood Memorial Gardens of Greenville.  Matt Swanner, Ronnie Shepherd, Josh Holton, Kevin Swindell, Damian Swindell, Jacob Swindell and Phil Moore will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Carroll was born in Pitt County on August 26, 1954 daughter of the late Henry Leighton Jones, Jr. and the late Billie Jean Cayton Jones.  She was a graduate of Washington High School.  Mrs. Carroll was the former owner and operator of Jean’s Grill of Washington and was currently the Dietary Supervisor at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.  She was a beautiful person who will be missed by all who knew her.  Mrs. Carroll dedicated her entire life to her family.  Her family would like to thank extended family, friends and Vidant Staff for support during a difficult time, which will never be forgotten.
Survivors include a daughter: Tammy A. Swindell and her husband Kevin of Washington; a sister: Mary Elizabeth Hooks of Kinston and two grandsons: Damian Swindell and Jacob Swindell.  Mrs. Carroll was predeceased by a sister: Debbie Moore.
The family will receive friends 6 pm to 8 pm Sunday March 10, 2013 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.
