A Greenville man with a long history with local law enforcement was arrested April 3, after he was found to be in possession of crack-cocaine, heroin and prescription pain medication, said a press release from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office drug unit.

Jermain Devonne Moore, 28, of East Firetower Road, Greenville, was pulled over by drug unit investigators in Blounts Creek, and a search of Moore’s vehicle yielded 15 wax bindles containing heroin, 46 plastic baggies containing individual doses of crack-cocaine, 19 dosage units of oxycodone and $950.00 in U.S. currency, said the release.

Moore was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver oxycodone a schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin and trafficking in opium.

At the time of Moore’s arrest he was out on bond for three counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine. According to a spokesman for the drug unit, those aren’t the only charges against Moore.

“Altogether he has ten pending charges,” he said.

Heroin trafficking has a minimum mandatory sentence under North Carolina state law.

Moore was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $140,000 secured bond.
