Cynthia Dawn Spruill, 54, of Roper died Thursday, April 4, 2013 at her residence in Roper.
Born November 26, 1958 in Chowan County she was the daughter of the late Elvin Wesley Spruill and Edna Furlough Spruill who survives.  Cindy worked in the business office at Washington County Hospital and was a member of Roper Baptist Church where she served as church secretary.
Her family includes her mother, Edna Furlough Spruill of Roper, N.C.; sisters, Kathy Alinda Whitfield of Hurdle Mills, N.C., Sandy Lorrine Crumpler of Virginia Beach, Va. and Aida Nadine Stancil of Garner, N.C. and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, April 7, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Roper Baptist Church, Roper with Reverend Howard Simpson officiating.  Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Sunday, April 7, 2013 from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at Roper Baptist Church and other times at the residence.  Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.  Condolences may be made to the family at www.maitlandfuneralhome.com.
