Hubert Lee Lindsey, 85, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2007. He was born February 16, 1922 to the late Van Dozier and Evaline Eason Lindsey. Hubert was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Hubert served in the U.S. Army and was a WWII Veteran. He worked in the textile industry for most of his life. He worked with Burlington Industries for 25 years, Phillip Fibers for over 15 years and London Mills for 5 years. Hubert was a long time member of West Mount Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory, his wife of 56 years, Doris Lindsey; daughters, Brenda Lindsey of the home, Sherry Correll and husband, Alan of Washington, N.C.; brother, Benjamin Lindsey of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Alex and Seth Correll.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to relatives, Lois and Doyle Dixon, Emmy Domozych, Thurman and Mae Langley, and Earl and Donna Langley. Also, to the nurses, staff, and administrators at Autumn Care of Nashville.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 24, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. at Wheeler &Woodlief Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Wheeler &Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Weaver (Doris’ cousin) and Bob Alford of West Mount Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
