If so, nominate her to become the Washington Daily News’ Mother of the Year for 2013. If she’s chosen as Mother of the Year, an article about and photograph of her will appear in the Mother’s Day, May 12, edition of the Daily News.
Anyone wishing to submit a nominee for the Mother of the Year award should send a nomination essay about his or her nominee, by email, to news@thewashingtondailynews.com or bring it to the Daily News’ office, 217 N. Market St., Washington.
Please include contact information, including a telephone number for the person making the nomination, not the person being nominated.
The essay must not exceed 300 words.
Nominations submitted without telephone information will not be considered.
Nominations must be received by 5 p.m. Monday, May 6. The winner will be chosen on the basis of quality, rather than quantity, of the letter(s) received. All submissions become the property of the Washington Daily News.
