James Edward Ross, one of the five people arrested on May 1 for allegedly using heroin in an SUV parked in the Washington Walmart parking lot was arrested again, this time by Washington police.

Ross, 67, of Pantego, was charged with felony possession of heroin and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Lt. William Chrismon, spokesman for the police department.

Ross was the passenger in a vehicle officers stopped on Wednesday, said Chrismon.

Ross was held at the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond. He was out on bond for last week’s charges when he was arrested Wednesday; when arrested on May 1 by sheriff’s office investigators, he was out on bond for prior heroin charges, according to the sheriff’s office.
