Larry Gene Biggs, 71, of Godard Town Road in Washington died Friday, July 12, 2013.

He was born Aug. 31, 1941, in Martin County, to the late Joseph Bryant Biggs and the late Susie Scott Biggs.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Sudie Ayers Biggs; sons: David Biggs and wife, Des, of San Jose, Calif.; and Dusty Gene Biggs and his wife, Lori, of Williamston; daughter, Dawn Elizabeth Holliday and husband, Eddie, of Williamston; six grandchildren: James, William and Crystal Holliday; Dusty Biggs, Jr.; and Ellen and Dylan Madison Biggs.

The funeral will be held at Biggs Chapel Monday at 2 p.m., with Pastors Loren Lung and Greg Sexton officiating. A burial at Cherry Cemetery will follow.

Visitation is Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Biggs Chapel from 7 p.m.  to 8:30 p.m. and other times at the home.
