This morning I took my grandchild to the little playground in the park on Water Street. And how sad, last night, someone vandalized the bench there at the playground. They had to have jumped on it because it was totally broken and it had to have been probably more than one person. How sad there are those who really don’t respect property that is not theirs. We really do need a policeman on foot, but it doesn’t seem like that’s going to happen, does it?
I disagree with the comment about the homes between Down East Motors and El Tapatio, that they serve no purpose. They could be rehabbed or rebuilt or fixed up for low-income families, homeless people a la Habitat for Humanity. They just want to be torn down. The houses in Washington is being made disposable. It’s too easy to tear them down. It’s a shame.
