To the Editor:

I want to take this opportunity to thank the individuals who made possible the Hope for the Warriors Golf Tournament on Saturday.  I was privileged to have the opportunity to attend the beginning of the event, which required substantial work and planning on the part of many people who are committed to assisting the veterans who have given so much for us.
The tournament was a phenomenal success to raise money for the service men and women who have made incredible sacrifices in defense of our nation.  One of my greatest concerns as I serve in Congress at a time when America is deep in debt is whether we will have the ability to care for all of our wounded veterans.  I am grateful for organizations such as Hope for the Warriors, which ensures that no casualty of war is forgotten and provides much-needed resources for injured service members and their families.
Again, thank you to the many individuals who made this weekend’s event possible.  I look forward to further opportunities to work with my fellow Eastern North Carolinians in support of our men and women in uniform.
