WHEN I GROW UP: Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Kelly Cox shows off a go-cart he and his father rebuilt, complete with flashing blue lights, at National Night Out in Beebe Memorial Park. The Washington Police Department event, which drew the participation of many local law enforcement agencies, was deemed “A success!” by WPD Outreach Coordinator Kimberly Grimes. Hundreds of people showed up for hotdogs, games, raffles, a D.J. and to get to know their local law enforcement officers.
