Jeffrey & Merrill Gordon Sawyer of New Bern announce the birth of their daughter, Ava Kate Sawyer, on July 15, 2013 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC

Ava Kate weighed  7 pounds and was 18.5 inches in length.

Maternal grandparents are Freddie and Anna Gordon and the late Kendra B. Gordon. Great Grandmother is Mable H. Bivens all of Monroe, NC.

Paternal grandparents are Wayne and Jeannie Sawyer of Core Point, NC.
