Edenton Man Charged in Tyrrell County Street Fight

On Sunday August 18th at 12:45am Tyrrell County Deputies responded to a fight call on Fonsoe St. in Columbia. Upon arrival deputies found Steven Childress 25, of Columbia lying in the street bleeding from wounds to his head. Childress was transported to Chowan Vidant Hospital by Washington Tyrrell EMS and then to Vidant Medical Center for treatment. As a result of the investigation Tyrrell County Deputies arrested Lovell Hill 32, of Edenton and charged him with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious bodily injury. Hill was placed in the Washington County Detention Center on a 50,000 secured bond.
