The American Legion Post 182 had a successful Labor Day Celebration with fun and games for the community.  The Celebration was held to celebrate the new pier and shoreline stabilization completion (the pier and concrete bulkhead were severely damaged during Hurricane Irene in 2011) as well as the last weekend of the summer before school starts.

The celebration helped raise money for the American Legion to continue improvements to the Legion Beach property and support community organizations and activities, such as Tyrrell County Public Library, Boy Scouts and student sponsorships such as Boys State and Student Troopers.
