1A Conference 10 recap September 4, 2013

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Columbia who defeated 386th ranked Creswell, 36-32.

Columbia was the team made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from seventh to third in 1A Conference 10. The Wildcats vanquished the Tigers 36-32 earlier in the week.

Malik Webb put up the best numbers through the air as Plymouth bested Riverside. He had a total of 2 completions for 48 yards.

Daniel Arellano was the best receiver in the league this week as Cape Hatteras beat First Flight.

Ayden Damitio was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 97 yards on 15 carries as the Hurricanes defeated the Night Hawks. Andrew Gray also contributed to the rushing game with 56 yards on the ground.

Gray provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Cape Hatteras defeated First Flight.

Manteo‘s 6-foot-1 quarterback John Lilleyis the league leader in passing yards this season with 60. The leading receiver in the league this season is Arellano. The Cape Hatteras star has 1 catches for 49 yards.

A big matchup in 1A Conference 10 this week will be when Mattamuskeet takes on Creswell. As it stands, the Lakers are in sixth, while Wayne Rodgers’ team is in eighth.

Columbia and the Tigers played the most contested game in the league this week, with Columbia eventually emerging with a 36-32 victory.
