A stolen ring was recovered and returned to its owner recently.
According to a press release from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, the report of a stolen ring from a residence on Shore Drive, Bath, came in on the morning of Aug. 5. Later, the ring was recovered at a local jewelry store.
An investigation led to Richard Eugene Brown, 39, and Brandi Nicole McMillen, 39, both of Randolph Road in Washington, said the release. Brown and McMillen turned themselves in at the Magistrates’ Office Aug. 30. Brown was charged with felony larceny and McMillen, with obtaining property by false pretenses. Each were held under $1,000 secured bonds.
