There was no miracle comeback this time around for Washington as it got down by two scores before falling 14-7 to former Coastal Conference rival West Craven on Friday.
The Eagles (3-1, Coastal) scored in the first quarter when Tyrone Brown returned a blocked punt 15 yards to go up 7-0.
The Pam Pack (2-2, Eastern Plains) would play even with West Craven in the second, but the Eagles soared ahead 14-0 in the third when Tyquail Raynor scored on a two-yard touchdown run.
Washington finally reached the end zone in the fourth when sophomore quarterback Brodie West connected with senior wide receiver/running back Stevie Green for a 69-yard touchdown run to cut the deficit to 14-7. However, Washington would not reach the end zone again.
The Pam Pack finished the night with 117 rushing yards on 37 attempts, while completing four of its nine passes for 102 yards, one TD and one interception.
West Craven was held to 73 rushing yards, but the Eagles hit on nine of its 23 pass attempts for 173 yards.
Each team lost a fumble, while West Craven committed 13 penalties for 140 yards compared to Washington, who only six infractions for 47 yards.

Riverside 33, Southside 0
The Riverside Knights upped their record to 3-1 on Friday as they rolled past Southside 33-0.
Running back Jeremiah Wilson was sensational as he rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns on five attempts to lead the Knights.
Sophomore RB Malik Smith tallied 53 yards and a score on 15 carries, while Ziree Rodgers caught two passes for 61 yards. Riverside’s Ross Byrd caught a scoring pass and finished with 18 yards on two receptions.
Knights quarterback Clay Wagner had a strong night as he completed 50 percent of his passes for 107 yards, with one TD and one interception.

Plymouth 42, Gates County 0
Once again the Plymouth ground game was potent as the Vikings rushed for five touchdowns in their 42-0 win over Gates County.
Chad Dance danced his way to 86 yards and two touchdowns, while Rafael Liriano ran for a team-high 93 yards and a score. Demarkius Price reached the end zone once and ran for 37 yards, while quarterback Malik Webb tallied 46 rushing yards and a touchdown.
The Vikings defense was stellar as it kept the Red Barons out of the end zone for four quarters and scored a touchdown when middle linebacker Devonte Spruill recovered a fumble and ran it 25 yards for a score.
The win ups the Vikings record to 3-0 on the season.
