Diane Marie Clark Horton, 65, of 3845 Camp Leech Road, died Friday, September 13, 2013 in Vidant Beaufort Hospital. Mrs. Horton was the daughter of Joyce Marie Rhodes and Donald Sedrian Clark. She was a member of St. Claire’s Church of Christ.

Surviving include her husband Thomas “Tommy” Lewis Horton, her daughter Nicole Cherry Hewitt and her husband Chris of Greenville, NC; her three sons: Gregory Donald Cherry and his wife Susan of New Bern, NC, Brian Keith Cherry of Washington, NC, and Blake Thomas Horton and his wife Kimberly of Robersonville, NC; her sisters: Karen Cordon and her husband Ronnie of Sidney, Darlene Credle and her husband Roger of Bath, NC, Barbara Tate of Bath, NC, Lea Clark of Chocowinity, NC, and Tammy Pines of Washington, NC; her grandchildren: Blaine, Brittany, Jessica, Christopher, Tyler, Kaitlyn, Justin, Hailey, Aydden, Micheala, Tristan, and Luke.

A Celebration of Mrs. Horton’s life will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, September 16, 2013 in St. Claire’s Church of Christ with the Reverend Stewart Woodley officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 5:00 PM until service time. Jimmy D. Sawyer Funeral Director Licensee is serving the Horton family.
