William Lelon “Bill” Boyette

Mr. William Lelon “Bill” Boyette, age 83, a resident of 408 Old Bath Hwy. Washington, NC died Tuesday September 17, 2013 at his home.
A private graveside funeral service will be held. The service will be officiated by Pastor Dale Clark.
Pallbearers will be Ralph Boyette, Gerald E. Masten III, Will Masten, Justin Boyette, Eric Bright and Thomas Bright, Jr.
The family will receive friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday September 19, 2013 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.
Mr. Bill was born in Durham County on November 20, 1929 son of the late Ernest Lelon Boyette and the late Sallie Harriett Pace Boyette. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. On January 20, 1967 he married the former Helen Uldean Dixon who preceded him in death on August 23, 2008. Mr. Bill worked as a sales/production manager with Roberson Beverage Co. for twenty two years and then worked as a refrigeration specialist with for Coca-Cola Bottling Co. until his retirement. He was a member of Chocowinity Church of God where he also served as clerk of the church.
Survivors include six sons: Ralph Boyette and wife Christie of Washington, Jimmy Bright and wife Belinda of Greenville, Bennie Bright of Washington, Thomas Bright and wife Linda of Columbia, SC, Charlie Bright of Washington and Taylor Bright and wife Lynette of Washington; three daughters: Joyce Dallas of Oriental, Janice Harris of Spring Hope and Helen B. Masten and husband Gerald of Washington; twenty eight grandchildren; thirty eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and his beloved companion and pet Dixie who Mr. Bill has had since his wife died. Mr. Bill was predeceased by a daughter: Ann Boyette; two sons: Kenneth Boyette and William Gilbert Bright and a grandson: William Michael Boyette.
Flowers are welcome and appreciated and the family kindly asks for any memorial contributions to be made to the Beaufort County Humane Society, P.O. Box 8, Washington, NC 27889.
