When a registered sex offender fails to notify authorities of a change of address, it likely leads to an arrest.

That’s what happened to one Chocowinity man on Sept. 9, according to a press release by the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigator Scott Williams applied for and obtained a warrant charging Meynardie, 39, of East Barr Road, with one count of failure to report address change by sex offender. Meynardie was released on a $15,000 unsecured bond.
