BEAUFORT COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE | CONTRIBUTED
PRINTS ON FILE: Career exploration became personal for one fifth-grade student visiting Beaufort County Community College this week when Davina Morris, a student at John Small School, went through a mock fingerprint procedure with her father, Ben Morris, dean of Business and Industrial Technology at BCCC. Davina Morris was one of 500 fifth grade students from across Beaufort County who toured the college’s Allied Health, Basic Law Enforcement Technology, Cosmetology, Machining and Welding programs Tuesday and Wednesday. The visits were intended to build interest in education, according to Vice President of Student Services Rick Anderson. “We hope students will see an area that interests them and starts them thinking about their future and a possible career,” Anderson said.
