Police are on the lookout for the man who robbed the Pamlico Internet Access and Sweepstakes in Washington’s Pamlico Plaza Wednesday night.

According to Lt. William Chrismon, spokesman for the Washington Police Department, a lone male walked into the sweepstakes café around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. While no weapon was ever seen by the cashier, the man is believed to have had one, according to Chrismon.

“The suspect grabbed an undisclosed amount of currency from the teller counter and fled the scene on foot toward Walmart,” Chrismon wrote in an email.

No one was injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as being around six feet tall, wearing dark pants, a dark-colored hoodie-type shirt and a black and white, or black and grey striped shirt.

Police are asking anyone with any information about Wednesday night’s robbery to call the Washington Police Department at 252-946-1444 or call Beaufort County Crime Stoppers at 252-964-6400.
