Two Bath commissioners will return for another term after last night’s election. Incumbents Jay Hardin and Patricia Duffer ran unopposed in the election.

It will be Hardin’s third term. Hardin said he ran again because “nobody else will do it.”

Hardin enjoys sitting on the board because it gives him a chance to push for things he believes the town needs. Since he began his service, Hardin said, the board has been faced with making a wider range of decisions for the historic town.

In the coming term, Hardin expects the trend to continue. Hardin has two goals for his new term, he said, “completing the wastewater system development of Bath in accordance with the historical character and jobs for people who would like to settle here.”
