To the Editor:

At the Nov 4, 2013, Beaufort County commissioners meeting, Hood Richardson out did himself to say the least.

An individual working for and representing a local business was chastised, actually lectured, by Mr. Richardson. The individual was addressing the board but Mr. Richardson took it upon himself to tear into this individual on his own. His actions were, as so many times before, an embarrassment to the board and Beaufort County. The chairman chimed in after Mr. Richardson’s tirade but it was too little, too late, as this individual was very embarrassed. Way to go Mr. Richardson. I’m sure your actions will generate other businesses to come to Beaufort County. We’ll be lucky if the business this man represented doesn’t just pack up and move elsewhere where they won’t suffer the indignity inflicted on one of their employees as done by Mr. Richardson.
