Marion “Red” Hardison

Mr. Marion “Red” Hardison, age 78, a former resident of Washington and Dardens, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Outer Banks Hospital in Nags Head.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday November 16, 2013 at the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington officiated by Jim Cooper. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Josh Clark, Joseph Mulrooney, Ken Hardison, Dennis Griffin, Clark Aflague and Bryan Beck will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Hardison was born June 27, 1935, son of the late Gracia Britton and Marion Thomas Hardison. He was married to Manuela “Nellie” Hardison who preceded him in death. Mr. Hardison was a retired welder and a contractor with North Carolina Natural Gas. He was a member of Gospel Light Church of Christ in Jamesville and an avid gardener in his spare time.
He is survived by his children: Kevin Hardison and wife Gloria of Wilmington; Yvonne Arnold and husband Milo of Nags Head; Clark Aflague and wife Jessica Mollet of Raleigh; Kathleen Delacio and husband Pete of Arizona; Christine Paige and husband Larry of Reno, NV and Angel Luna of Reno, NV; his grandchildren: Josh Clark and wife Manuela, Holly Hardison, Lilyann Arnold, Mila Arnold, Buffy Moore and husband Robert, Katona Aflague, Joseph Mulrooney and wife Kim, Brian Delacio, David Paige and Jeffery Paige; six great grandchildren; and his siblings: Ivy Joel Beck and husband Eddie of Chesapeake; Garland Hardison and wife Joyce of Plymouth and Leslie Hardison and wife Linda of Jamesville.
The family will receive friends 7:00-8:00 PM on Friday at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.
