From the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit

On Nov. 7, 2013, Investigators with the Washington Police Department arrested Rodney Darnell Putney, age 24, of 630 Washington Street in Washington. Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office alerted Investigators with the Washington Police Department of active arrest warrants on Putney. The warrants stemmed from Investigators in the Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit conducting controlled purchases of cocaine from Putney behind the H&K Mart on Carolina Avenue in Washington.

Putney was arrested and charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Putney was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $15,000 secured bond.
