Hazel Credle Rose, 76, of 872 Pungo Village, Rd., Belhaven, died Tuesday December 10, 2013 at Cross Creek Health Care, Swan Quarter.
Born in Beaufort County, June 7, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Eugene G. and Mabel Joyner Credle. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.
She worked her entire life to provide for her children and the ones she loved. Over her life time she was involved in various businesses and excelled in all she did. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the faculty and staff of Autumfield and Cross Creek Health Care for the love and care she received.
Funeral services will be held at the family plot in Davis Cemetery on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Steve Bryan will officiate.
Surviving are two daughters; Sue C. Rhem of Ponzer, Melody C. Williams and husband Joe, of Scranton; four grandchildren, Melody Jo Williams, Joseph Williams, John Michael Rhem and Sara Rhem; two great grandchildren, Brandt Williams and Hurley Williams; a brother Jack Credle of Belhaven; a sister Margaret C. Scott of Clayton and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Mike Rhem, two sisters, Kathryne C. Hodges and Faye C. Sadler.
The family will received friends immediately following the service and other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Williams, 2825 Lynnsburg Rd., Scranton.
