Fresh holiday greenery — in wreath form as the result of an hour’s work — will grace the doors of a dozen homes.
The North Carolina Estuarium held its annual wreath-making class Wednesday morning.
Linda Boyer taught the class. She said she looks forward to it every year.
“It smells so good,” she said. “It gets the whole museum smelling like Christmas.”
Dennie Everett made her first wreath in the class and was pleased with the results.
“It’s a pretty simple process,” Boyer said. “If you get the right materials, you can do it quickly.”
Regardless of experience, each participant left the class with a finished product. Each featured local evergreens, and no two were alike.
“This was my first year. But it won’t be my last,” said Mia Ramsden, holding a finished product.
The class is practically a tradition for Sherry Caporossi.
“I come every year. I love it,” she said.
