Silver Knowles

Mrs. Silver Lee Bryant Knowles, age 94, died Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at River Trace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Washington, NC.

 

A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 21, 2013 11:00a.m. at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington officiated by Rev. Todd Parrish. Burial will follow at Pamlico Memorial Gardens.

 

Mrs. Knowles was born in Nash County on September 1, 1919 to the late Ralph W. Bryant and Lilly Winstead Bryant. She attended schools in Spring Hope, NC. Mrs. Knowles married Walter Edison Knowles, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Knowles was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Washington.

 

Mrs. Knowles is survived by a son, Leo G. Taylor and wife Candy of Durham, a grandson, Guy Taylor of Raleigh, a granddaughter, Rachel Taylor of Wilmington, a great grandson, Jack Taylor of Raleigh, three stepsons, Anson Knowles of Virginia, Edison Knowles of Plymouth,  and Billy Knowles of Virginia., and a sister, Lottie B. Cannon also of Virginia.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Knowles is preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph Bryant, Howard Bryant, Ward Bryant and Evan Bryant and a sister Burla B. Earp.

 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 21, 2013, one hour prior to the service, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Free Will Baptist Church, 901 N. Bonner Street, Washington,NC 27889
