John Lee Beach Sr, 74, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at his home. The funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Biggs Funeral Home in Williamston with Rev. Brian Busch officiating; burial will follow at Oak City Cemetery.

Mr Beach was the son of the late Leroy and Mary Harrell Beach. He was a farmer and an insurance adjuster. Also he was a graduate of Oak City High School and East Carolina University and a member of Oak City Fire Department since 1967.

On December 24, 1961 he married Patsy Bunting Beach who preceded him in death on February 25, 2008. He is survived by a daughter Lisa Beach of Oak City, son Lee Beach and wife Jennifer of Washington, brother Bill Beach and wife Susie of Hamilton and grandchildren Chandler Beach, Mason Beach and Braeden Beach.

The family received friends Thursday from 6:30-8:30 PM at Biggs Funeral Home in Williamston and other times at the home 216 Pine Street Oak City NC
