Alla S. Sadler, 83, passed away Tuesday morning, January 7, 2014 at her home in Fairfield, NC.

Alla was born on June 15, 1930 in the Fairfield Township of Hyde County to the late Carroll Demock Smith and Olive Watson Smith. On November 3, 1950, she married H.L. Sadler, Jr,, who preceded her in death. Along with her husband, they operated Sadler Texaco in Fairfield for 28 years. The rest of her life she was a homemaker and a caring mother and grandmother for her children and grandchildren. Her favorite pastime was enjoying friends and family. Alla was also preceded in death by her brother, Erwin Smith.

She is survived by her two sisters, Shelby Sawyer of Fairfield, NC and Marcelline Gilbert of Williamston, NC. Alla is also survived by her son, Donald Sadler and wife, Lorraine ,of Williamston, NC and daughter, Tina Sadler Eakes and husband, David, of Fairfield, NC. She had three grandchildren Anita Sadler Roberson and husband Brent of Williamston, NC and Cruz and Payton Eakes of Fairfield, NC. She also had two great grandchildren Mary Spencer and Liam of Williamston, NC.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00pm on Friday January 10, 2014 at Bryan Funeral Service, Swan Quarter, NC and other times at the home, 8675 Piney Woods Rd. Fairfield, NC 27826. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 11th at 11:00 am at the Fairfield Christian Church with graveside service following at the Fairfield Cemetery.
