Pam Pack lose, Van Cura stays perfect

The Washington wrestling team loses three out of five matches at the Firebird Dual Meet at Southern Nash.
“We should have went 4-1, but we were missing some guys due to sickness,” said Head Coach Daniel Riggs.
Despite the loss, Washington standout Devon Van Cura went a perfect 5-0 with a pin on Saturday, improving his season record to an impressive, 20-0.
The Pam Pack defeated Apex, 58-21, and Aycock, 54-24, while losing to three close contests to Millbrook, Rocky Mount and Rosewood.
The loss moves Riggs’ team to 9-5 on the season with three dual meets left to go. Washington is hits the road again this Saturday for the Jolly Rogers Invitational at Corinth Holders High School.
