Chocowinity – Zelma Seay McIntyre, 81, passed away Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.
A memorial service will be conducted Thursday at 7 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Linda Cox, 164 Diamond C Road, Washington.
Zelma was born Aug. 4, 1932, in Bell, Florida. Following her retirement from Kraft Foods as a lab technician, she moved to North Carolina.
She is preceded in death by two sons, Steve Oren Long and Terry Craig Long.
She is survived by her children, Linda Long Cox and husband, Holman of Washington, NC, Sheryl Long Montelongo and husband, Alex Rodriquez of Chocowinity, C. Gordon Long of Washington, and James Keith Long and wife, Melissa Hartwell of Chocowinity; eleven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and three sisters, Hazel Dobson of Webster, FL, Gracie Altman of Oxford, FL, and Thelma Garrell of Dade City, FL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center, 1209 Brown St., Washington, NC 27889.
