Mr. Ronald Wayne Hilliard, age 74, a resident of Pamlico Beach, died Saturday, February 8, 2014 at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Floral Garden Memorial Park in High Point, NC.

Mr. Hilliard was born in Guilford County on December 13, 1939 to Edna Mae Brown and the late Elmer Walker Hilliard. Mr. Hilliard graduated from Allen Jay High School in High Point, NC. He was a long-time resident of Greenville, NC, where he worked as an engineer for Burroughs Wellcome until his retirement in 1995.

Mr. Hilliard is survived by his mother, his sister, Linda H. Cook and husband Lemuel of Sophia, NC, three sons, Michael Hilliard and wife Debra of Beaufort, NC, Timothy Hilliard of St. George, Utah, and Christopher Hilliard and wife Jessica of Bath, NC, five grandchildren, Michael Hilliard, Jr., Lacey, Christian, Annie, and Joshua Hilliard and his beloved companion Bear.

Flowers may be sent to Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, NC or memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
