Emma B. Wright

Emma Berry Wright, 79, of 8366 North Lake Rd, Fairfield, and more recently a resident of Cross Creek Health Care, died Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 at Vidant Pungo Hospital, Belhaven.

Born in Hyde County on Oct. 18, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Otiva W. and Mildred Cuthrell Berry. She was married to Bobby Charles Wright who preceded her in death. She was a member of Laymen’s Home Missionary Movement. Mrs. Emma enjoyed painting, drawing and learning her family genealogy.

No services are schedule at this time.

Surviving are three daughters; Barbara W. Burrus of Grifton, Patricia W. Webb of Wilson, and Amber W. Spencer and husband Derek of Fairfield; a sister, Jane B. Gibbs and husband Lefty of Fairfield; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and her special niece and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Edward “Butch” Williams Jr.; two sisters, Ann Elizabeth Berry Gibbs and Julia Berry Alloggio.
