From Tideland EMC

 

Tideland Electric Membership Corporation will conduct a planned outage of its Washington substation shortly after midnight Wednesday.

The planned outage is scheduled to last 30 minutes and will affect approximately 1,681 consumers in the River Road and Pamlico Plantation areas of Washington. Tideland EMC is conducting the outage so crews can remove a mobile substation that was recently put into service while crews worked to upgrade the existing delivery point substation. Before turning in tonight, Tideland members in the outage area should make sure they have some type of backup alarm clock to avoid oversleeping Thursday morning.
