CHARLIE GARLAND MOORE, JR.

Oct. 19, 1948 – April 21, 2014

 

Charlie Garland Moore, Jr., age 65, a resident of Old Fort Shores Rd., Chocowinity, NC passed away Monday, April 21, 2014. There will be a graveside celebration of his life in Oakdale Cemetery on Friday, April 25 at 11 a.m. officiated by David Pooser.  The family will receive friends today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations, 4500 Hwy 264 E., Washington, NC.

Charlie was born October 19, 1948 in Beaufort County son of the late Charlie Garland Moore and Ruth E. Brickhouse Moore. He was married to Betty Jean Bryant Moore who survives. Charlie was the owner/operator of Pamlico Transmission.

In addition to his wife, Charlie is survived by his daughter, Ruth E. Moore Toler; his sons, Charlie Garland Moore, III and Howard Scott Moore, both of Chocowinity; his sisters, Rachael Churchill and Hazel Preston; his grandchildren, Billy Toler, III, Stephanie Toler, Ashley Moore, Michael Moore, John Long and Richard Pollard; and three great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth Ray Moore and William Anderson Moore and his step-daughter, Wanda M. Pollard.
