1-2-3 RELAY: The Beaufort County Relay for Life kicked off its annual event with a survivor lap. A sea of purple, ready to relay, could be seen lined up on the Washington High School track to fight back against cancer. Before starting the lap, Relay for Life Chairperson Dawn Johnston announced the opening ceremonies for the event and all participants could be heard making some noise for a cure — the theme of this year’s event.
