H. Warren Rohlfs, 94, died Tuesday, June 17, 2014.  Warren was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Larchmont, NY before his retirement.   He served in the first Armored Division of the Army in Africa and Italy during World War II and was a Purple Heart recipient for injuries received at Kassarine Pass.

His photostat business, F.A. Russo, Inc., served the advertising and media business of New York City. He was a member and commander of the American Legion AD Men’s Post 209 in NYC, member of the New York Sales Executives Club, Toastmasters Roughriders Club, and served on the board of Junior Achievement of New York.

He was an amateur race car driver and was a founding member of the Madison Avenue Sports Car Driving and Chowder Society. An avid sailor, he retired in 1989 to the Pamlico River in Washington, North Carolina to pursue his love of the open water. With more life to live, poker games with good buddies, and golf to play, he retired again in 2007 to The Villages, FL.

He was predeceased by his sister, Henrietta (Etta) Delmhorst in 1987, wife, Jeanne, in 1984, and his brother, Don, in 2001.

He is survived by his wife, Anne, sons H. Warren, Jr., Oak Hill, Va. and Francis (Frank)  and his wife, Kathleen, Chatham, NY,  daughters Susan, Jefferson Valley, NY and Jacalyn (Lyn) McFadden and her husband Steve, Boca Raton, FL, two step sons, Anthony (Tony) Harrington and partner, Edward Alexander, Wilmington, NC and M. Neil Harrington and wife, Kimsu, Raleigh, NC., 9 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

A family service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in New York. In keeping with his true love of friends and family, his wishes are that you take someone special to dinner and express your love and appreciation for them.
