Liddie Gurganus Terry, age 64, a resident of Hwy 264 E., Washington, NC, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014 at her home. There will be a graveside celebration of her life at 2:00 pm, Thursday, July 10, at Oakdale Cemetery. Frank Williams Jr., Jason Soper, Jay Gurganus Jr., Sherman Cahoon, Jr., John Soper and Boomer Gurganus will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 10 one hour prior to the service at Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Hwy 264 E., Washington, NC. Liddie was born October 6, 1949 in Beaufort County, daughter of the late Jay Mack Gurganus and Maggie Estelle Cahoon Gurganus. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Liddie is survived by her daughters, Wanda Everette and Michelle Soper and husband John of Washington; her brother, Jay Mack Gurganus, Jr. of Washington; her sister, Joyce Williams of Washington; and her grandchildren, Walter, Susan and Sarah Cahoon and Jason and Terri Soper all of Washington.
