Larceny suspects arrested

On March 7, 2014, at approximately 8:33 p.m., the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office
received a report of a larceny from a residence on O’Neal Drive in Washington. Deputies responded to the scene and learned jewelry had been stolen.
On April 19, 2014, at approximately 6 p.m., the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office
received a report of a breaking, entering, and larceny from a residence on Taylor Lane in Blounts Creek. The victim reported that automotive batteries, tools, electronics, and a firearm were stolen. The Sheriff’s Office began an investigation and collected evidence.
As a result, Investigator Jonathan Fowler applied for and obtained warrants charging
Christopher Dewayne Perdue, 23, of Water-Lilly Road in Washington with two counts of felony larceny, one count of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, one count of larceny of a firearm, one count of felony breaking and entering, one count of larceny after breaking and entering, one count of first degree trespassing, and one count of misdemeanor larceny. Sheryl Autumn Kladis, age 28, of West Barr Road in Chocowinity was also charged with one count of felony larceny.
On July 1, 2014, Kladis turned herself in and was held in the Beaufort County Detention
Center on a $10,000 secured bond. On July 2, 2014, Perdue was served by the Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office while incarcerated at the Edgecombe County Detention Center. Perdue was held on an additional $335,000 secure bond.
