COMMUNITY LEADER: Washington Noon Rotary (WNR) congratulates and welcomes local attorney and Washington resident, John Tate III as their 2014-2015 President. John is a Paul Harris Fellow and an active participant in the many charitable and community activities of WNR. He received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his Juris Doctorate from University of North Carolina School of Law. After practicing law in Virginia, he moved to North Carolina in 1996 and was subsequently admitted into the North Carolina State Bar and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of North Carolina. John is an active member in the community and currently serves as chairman of the Beaufort County Arts Council (BCAC) board of directors. He has been instrumental in leading BCAC’s successful efforts last year to acquire The Turnage Theater property as their new home and headquarters. He is currently a member of numerous boards, civic organizations and associations. He is the owner of a general law practice John B. Tate III, Attorney at Law, with offices in Chocowinity.
