Camilla Rodman Moore died on Friday, July 25, 2014, at The Fountains of the Albemarle in Tarboro, NC where she had been for the last several months due to declining health. She had previously resided at 147 Riverboat Drive in Pamlico Plantation, Washington, NC.
Mrs. Moore was born in Washington, North Carolina on November 4, 1938, the daughter of the late Meredith Mills Rodman and Archie Clark Rodman. She attended the local schools and St. Mary’s Junior College in Raleigh, NC. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Washington and a former member of the Addisco Book Club. She was an avid golfer as long as her health would permit.
Mrs. Moore is survived by her sons, Rodman Clark Moore and his wife, Michele of Wurzburg, Germany and Thomas Jordan Moore II and his wife, Susan of Nash County, NC, and her grandchildren, Thomas Jordan Moore III and Nathaniel Chase Williams Moore of Nash County, NC and Sarah Carson Moore and Robert C. Moore of Greenville, NC. She is also survived by her sister, Eleanor Rodman May of Washington, NC and her niece, Camilla Rodman May of Raleigh, NC.
A memorial service will be held at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at 11:00 AM, officiated by the Rev. Mark MacKay Powell and the Rev. Deacon Janet Sueiro Rodman. Committal will follow in the Chapel Garden. Honorary pallbearers will be Curtis Harcum Hathaway, Jr., Neill Archibald Jennings III, William Winslett Nelson, William Augustus Oden, Jr., William Louis Plaster, and Marvin Alfred “ Fritz” Tanner, Jr.
