The Beaufort County Arts Council will present the Annie Moses Band at the Turnage Theater on Nov. 8. Curtain time is 8 p.m. and tickets are $35 ($30 for BCAC members). The concert is part of BCAC’s inaugural Fall MainStage Series and Edward Jones/Rod Cantrell is the corporate partner for the event.

The Annie Moses Band has been inspiring and entertaining audiences for over a decade, bringing their distinctive style of music across the nation and around the world. A captivating blend of folk and classical, the Annie Moses Band is a talented ensemble of songwriters, singers, and musicians, combining technical skill with exhilarating showmanship.

The Band’s innovative sound has delighted audiences around the world — in record-breaking numbers of airings on PBS and on stages as diverse as Carnegie Hall and the Grand Ole Opry. The members of the band are also family. Veteran composer, Bill Wolaver, weaves musical styles together into cinematic arrangements while the virtuosic siblings bring Juilliard-honed chops to Nashville-styled music making.

The Annie Moses Band combines the best of beloved genres in a style that unifies audiences, young and old, classical connoisseurs and roots enthusiasts, jazz aficionados and bluegrass buffs.

According to BCAC executive director Joey Toler, the Annie Moses Band will be the pinnacle of the 2014 Fall MainStage Series.

“This is by far the most high-profile group we will have presented at the theatre to date,” said Toler. “And I must say, they are amazing in how they integrate different musical stylings in their performance. We are lucky to have them at the Turnage.”

The performance at the Turnage will be the Annie Moses Band’s newest project – Rhapsody In Bluegrass. The concert will be a panoramic exploration of America and her music. Featuring favorites from Aaron Copland, George Gershwin, and other quintessential American legends, Rhapsody in Bluegrass fuses Appalachian bluegrass, Irish fiddle, beloved classical themes, and roots music to create a beautiful and transporting concert experience.
