CORA S. BOND

July 27, 1924 – Nov. 19, 2014

Mrs. Cora Elizabeth Smith Bond, age 90, a resident of Belhaven, died Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at her home.

Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Belhaven Missionary Baptist Church and will be conducted by Rev. David Pierce. Burial will follow in Smithton Cemetery.

Mrs. Bond was born in Beaufort County on July 27, 1924 to the late Fred and Mary Ellen Cayton Smith. On October 25, 1944 she married Lee Judkins Bond who survives. She was a member of Belhaven Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of the home, Lee J. Bond, two daughters, Brenda Bond Golden and husband Phillip of Durham, NC, Linda Bond Lindley and husband James of Raleigh, NC, one son, Lee J. Bond Jr. and wife Carolyn of Camden, NC, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one sister and one brother.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm Friday, November 21, 2014 at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven and other times at the home.
